This is normal—here's why
Your $1.00* trial charge may appear as two separate transactions ($0.50 + $0.50). This doesn't mean you're being double-charged.
What's Happening
The first charge activates your trial subscription.
The second charge verifies that your card works for recurring charges. It's a security check to make sure your payment method can handle monthly billing.
Total Amount
You're only charged $1.00* total for the trial, regardless of how many transactions show up. Both charges happen within a day or two of each other.
If We Charged You Twice by Mistake
If you see two full $1.00 charges instead of split charges, that's a problem on our end. We see all 99% cases and we will fix it for you ASAP.
If we didn't catch it automatically, email [email protected] with your transaction details, and we'll refund the duplicate charge immediately. These things happen—we've got you covered.
Different by Location
Depending on where you are, you might see:
- US: Two $0.50 charges
- Canada: $0.85 CAD + $0.84 CAD
- Australia: $0.95 AUD + $0.94 AUD
The total is always the trial price.
After the Trial
Both charges drop off, and at the start of your first billing cycle, you'll see one charge for $29.99/month.
*Trial price & duration may vary by location or promotions.
