Welcome to sagabox—a subscription platform for reading serialized novels. These terms explain what you get, how billing works, what we're responsible for, and how to resolve issues. We've tried to keep them straightforward, but if something doesn't make sense, reach out to [email protected].
Who We Are and What We Offer
sagabox Inc (referred to as we, us, or our in this document) is a Delaware corporation. We operate a subscription reading platform where you access serialized novels across genres. Our platform includes our website (sagabox.com), mobile apps, and any other ways you might access sagabox through devices or integrations.
When we say "you" or "your," we mean anyone using our service—whether that's you personally or an organization you represent with proper authority.
Books and Reading
A serialized novel is a story we publish in chapters or installments. Each chapter is a single installment you can read. Our content library is all the books and materials we make available. Premium content is what you can only access as a paid subscriber.
Your Subscription
A subscription gives you recurring paid access to our premium features and content. You start with a trial period: 7 days for $1.00* (price may vary by location or current promotions). After that, you get a standard subscription at $29.99/month, charged every month on the same date. We call each monthly charge a billing cycle.
Keeping You Safe
Authentication codes are temporary, single-use codes we send you to verify your identity. Account security refers to the methods we use to protect your access. Access credentials are the information you use to prove who you are.
When Things Are Out of Our Control
Force majeure means circumstances we can't reasonably control that prevent us from delivering service. This includes natural disasters, government actions, war, terrorism, cyberattacks, network failures, pandemics, internet outages, power grid failures, and other similar events.
What We Do
sagabox is a subscription platform for reading serialized novels and exclusive literary content. We focus on romance, thriller, fantasy, and other genres.
What You're Agreeing To
By using sagabox, you agree to:
These terms apply to everyone—whether you access sagabox through our website, mobile apps, tablets, desktop applications, third-party integrations, or any future access methods we create.
You're Bound by These Terms
By accessing or using sagabox, you're saying you've read, understood, and agree to follow these terms. If you don't agree with any part, don't use our service.
If we change these terms, your continued use means you accept the changes. If you don't agree, you should stop using sagabox and contact us to delete your account.
When We Update These Terms
We may update these terms anytime. For major changes, we'll email you. For new users, changes take effect immediately. For existing users, changes take effect 30 days after we notify you. Keep using sagabox after we notify you, and you're accepting the updated terms.
Who Can Use sagabox
You must be at least 18 years old and of legal age in your country. We may ask you to verify your age.
Setting Up Your Account
You get one account per person. You need a valid email address and must provide accurate information. Keep your account information up to date.
Keeping Your Account Safe
You're responsible for keeping your email and authentication codes secure. Tell us immediately if you think someone accessed your account without permission. Don't share your login credentials with anyone.
Your Responsibilities
Don't do any of these things:
If you're using sagabox on behalf of an organization, you warrant that you have the authority to do so and will report any changes to that authority.
Inactive Accounts
We automatically delete accounts that haven't been used for 365 days. This keeps our platform secure and efficient. If your account is deleted, you lose access to your data and reading progress. To keep your account active, log in once in a while. If you have questions, contact [email protected].
Trial Period ($1.00)*
Your trial costs $1.00* (price & length may vary by location or promotions). You get full access to all premium books, audiobooks and features during the trial.
Important note: Your trial payment may be processed as two separate charges. For example, in the United States, we might charge $0.50 twice. In Canada, $0.85 CAD and $0.84 CAD. In Australia, $0.95 AUD and $0.94 AUD. The first charge activates your trial. The second confirms your payment method can handle recurring charges. This happens because we want to verify your payment method works before converting you to the monthly plan. The total amount charged is still just the trial price, regardless of how many transactions appear.
Your trial converts automatically to our standard monthly plan at the end of your trial period, unless you cancel first. You won't receive another trial period upon conversion.
After Your Trial Ends
Your subscription becomes $29.99/month after the trial. You're charged monthly on the same date each month. You won't get another trial period. We'll remind you before the conversion happens so there are no surprises.
Example: Start your trial on January 1st, and you'll pay $1.00 from January 1–7. On January 8th, you'll be charged $29.99 for your first full month. You can cancel anytime before the conversion if you want.
Pricing in Different Countries
We charge in USD by default: $29.99/month. However, we also offer pricing in:
For all other regions, charges are in USD. Your bank handles exchange rates and may charge currency conversion fees (we don't charge these—your bank does).
Changing Our Prices
We can change subscription prices anytime. If you're already a subscriber, we'll tell you 30 days before the change. New prices apply at your next billing cycle. You can cancel before the new price takes effect if you don't want to pay more.
Payment Methods
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, digital payment methods, and regional options where available.
You authorize us to charge your payment method every month. You're responsible for keeping your payment information valid and up to date. If a payment fails, your service might be suspended.
Billing
We charge you monthly on the anniversary of when your subscription started. You'll get an email receipt each time. You can see your billing history in your account settings.
Trial Refunds
If you're a first-time trial user and you don't violate our terms, you can request a full refund within 30 days. You can only get one trial refund per account. Submit your request through our help center, self-service portal, or by emailing [email protected].
